Agri-Food Innovation Expo Announces Christine Gould and an Excellent Lineup of Keynote Speakers

Lethbridge, AB (Oct. 22, 2024) – Agri-Food Innovation Expo 2024 is set to host a dynamic lineup of keynote speakers from November 26 to 28 at the Agri-food Hub & Trade Centre in Lethbridge, Alberta. This year’s event will focus on helping businesses in Alberta’s agri-food sector diversify, innovate, and drive economic growth. Above all, it will equip businesses with actionable insights and help them “build their agri-food toolkit”.

Today we are excited to announce keynote speaker Christine Gould, an award-winning change-maker, agri-food innovation leader, and entrepreneur. Currently, Christine is building GIGA, her new venture focused on scaling the world’s most promising solutions to nourish the planet and reverse climate change. She is also the founder of Thought For Food, the world’s leading next-gen agri-food innovation community, reaching 30,000 entrepreneurs in 180+ countries. “I'm thrilled to be returning to Canada, a global leader in agri-food innovation and production. In my talk, I'll delve into yet-untapped innovation opportunities—opportunities where industry leaders and entrepreneurs can collaborate to unleash trillions of dollars in value for food systems that are economically prosperous, environmentally sustainable, and socially inclusive,” says Gould.

The conference’s keynote program will feature other industry leaders offering practical strategies to help Alberta’s agri-food businesses grow and innovate. Agri-Food Innovation Expo hosted its inaugural event in 2023 at Westerner Park in Red Deer, Alberta. The event was well received by the agri-food industry and is back for year two, this time at the Agri-food Hub & Trade Centre in Lethbridge, Alberta. This event is a joint ownership between Lethbridge & District Exhibition in Lethbridge and Westerner Park in Red Deer and alternates between the two locations every year.

This year’s theme is: Build Your Agri-Food Toolkit. The goal is to equip agri-food businesses with the tools they need to grow by giving them access to resources and actionable insights they can immediately integrate into their business.

Who is it for?
This event is for all growing agri-food businesses. It’s an opportunity to explore concepts around product diversification and innovation in agri-food.
