Innovative Harvest Solutions from Bushel Plus

Reference: Sponsored Article

Based in Brandon, Manitoba, Bushel Plus began as a hobby project for Founder & CEO, Marcel Kringe but has grown rapidly. With a team of over 35 employees across 3 different countries, Bushel Plus’s products are now sold in over 35 countries across all continents. The insights gained from international farmers, coupled with the rigorous research needed to develop products that excel globally, enable Bushel Plus to continuously introduce innovative harvest solutions for North American farmers.

Consider the significant investment you make in top-quality seeds, fertilizers, and crop protection. Despite your efforts, the harvest ultimately determines what gets stored, sold, and turned into profit. Unlike re-seeding or re-spraying, harvesting is a one-time opportunity.

For Kringe and his team at Bushel Plus, optimizing harvest is about helping farmers secure the crops they diligently cultivate. This mission not only boosts profits using existing land and resources but also channels more grain into the food supply chain. Enhancing efficiency across operations, it reduces wasted grain, saving time, herbicide, and money on eliminating volunteer plants.

The benefits of optimization are clear, yet tight harvest schedules demand solutions that are quick, easy, and accurate. Kringe’s commitment to meeting these needs led to the development of the Bushel Plus SmartPan System™. This system features a drop pan that attaches magnetically to combines and can be deployed safely and remotely via remote control or mobile app. The combined use of the Bushel Plus SmartPan, Air Separator, and SmartDrop™ app provides farmers with precise loss calculations in just minutes.

Following the success of the drop pan system, Bushel Plus introduced the handheld MiniCombine™ bringing a proven European solution to North America. This all-in-one, battery-powered tool allows farmers to efficiently collect crop samples for moisture testing before harvesting, without the need for a combine, header, and truck.

In late 2022, Bushel Plus expanded its offerings by acquiring MAD Concaves™. The partnership with MAD Concaves™ was a strategic move rooted in a shared commitment to prioritizing farmers' needs. Both teams have succeeded by consistently innovating and providing reliable, high-quality products. These modular concaves are designed to make changing concaves fast and simple for precision threshing in different crops and conditions, reducing dockage and increasing grain sample quality in combines. Made with AR-200 steel, they are aggressive and durable for longer wear and address issues such as grain loss that other Bushel Plus tools identify.

Bushel Plus’s commitment to optimizing harvest efficiency not only maximizes farmers' profits but also contributes significantly to the global food supply chain. As Bushel Plus continues to grow, their focus remains steadfast on enhancing agricultural productivity and sustainability, ensuring farmers can make the most of their investments and hard work.
