Extension: No Cost Mental Health Counselling For British Columbia Producers And Families, And To Those Who Provide Support/Services To Farmers, Growers, And Ranchers.
In January we introduced no cost mental health counselling to British Columbia’s producers, their families, and those who provide support/services to farmers, growers, and ranchers, thanks to our partnership with TELUSHealth.
Today we’re happy to announce the extension of this program till March 31, 2022. We see the need from the aftermath of the devastating floods in the province and continue to work on ways to break down barriers so producers and their families can gain access to critical mental health resources through partnerships with local organizations and businesses.
*Please note if you have already signed up for the program you can continue to use the program as is.
Saskatoon, SK (January 7, 2022) – The Do More Agriculture Foundation (Do More Ag) is pleased to offer TELUS Health MyCare counselling at no cost to all British Columbia producers and their families until February 28, 2022, thanks to TELUS Health’s donation in support of the aftermath of the devastating floods in the province.
Many producers and their families have been affected by the unprecedented weather events and catastrophic flooding that sent the province into a state of emergency last year. The mental health impact of this devastation will lead to long-term effects and Do More Ag is committed to ensuring producers have access to critical resources.
“It is an honour for our TELUS team to lend our support to British Columbia’s farming community as they continue to deal with the effects of the unprecedented flooding to their homes and livelihoods,” said Chris Engst, Managing Director, TELUS Consumer Health. “TELUS Health MyCare offers video-based access to caring, licensed mental health professionals who can help with everything from daily challenges to more severe conditions, all from the comfort of your home.”
