About Me

My name is Ria Braaksma and me and my husband came over from Holland in 1993.
I grew up in what you call an entrepreneurial family, and I really took after that.
In Holland, my husband was a dairy farmer but coming to Canada we started into the beef industry.
During the first years, I worked at different offices in Edmonton in sales as well as in admin. I also studied Business Management at the University of Alberta in Edmonton.
In Holland I started already studying for becoming a realtor and being in Canada and living on a farm I thought about going into Real Estate in Alberta as well.
Starting in Stony Plain as a Commercial and Farm Realtor, I joined Real Estate Centre in 2013 and work in our farm team. 
Having personal experience with farming as well as owning my own businesses I enjoy working as a realtor, mainly Farm Real Estate and some commercial. I genuinely like working with all kinds of different people and properties and am always trying to work hard with my clients as a team.
I am currently licenced in Alberta and Saskatchewan.  
Reading is my hobby and I love taking a walk in nature as well.
I speak Dutch and Frisian as well and understand some German and speak a little bit as well (although I am a bit rusty in German)
