Idaho Potato Farmer | BKR Farms
BKR Farms was born from Christensen Farms in 2009. It stands for Bart, Kyle, and Ryan. Kyle and Ryan are the 5th generation of Christensens to farm this land, dating back to the original homestead in 1889.
Ryan Christensen is the youngest of Bart and Cherie's five children. He graduated from BYU in Landscape Management with a minor in Business Management. He met Andrea Smith while attending BYU and they have 4 children. When Ryan joined the family operation, BKR Farms, LLC was formed. Ryan's passion is nutrient management and implementing technology in all aspects of the farm. If something can be measured, Ryan is measuring it.

Growing up on a university research farm, Mike Howell developed an interest in agriculture at a young age. While active in 4-H as a child, Howell learned to appreciate agriculture and the programs that would shape his career. Howell holds a Bachelor of Science degree in soil science and a Master of Science degree in entomology from Mississippi State University. He has more than 20 years of experience conducting applied research and delivering educational programs to help make producers more profitable. He takes pride in promoting agriculture in all levels of industry, especially with the younger generation.
