Newfoundland has a vibrant and unique dairy industry. In this province, dairy producers have two types of quotas: fluid and industrial (MSQ). The province producers approx. 50 million Litres/year with the average farm milking +/- 140 cows. In 2024, dairy farmers in NFLD purchased a fluid milk plant and formed a Producer Co-Op.
